The pursuit of translational medicine is the conversion of scientific discovery into health improvement, one of the priorities of biomedical science in 21st century. The main goal of this meeting is to bring together clinicians, research scientists and industry partners for discussing the translation of scientific advances gained in the laboratory in everyday clinical practices. This fourth edition of the workshop has a particular focus on the innate immunity responses that, as first lines of defense in several models of
human diseases, induce either protective or aberrant inflammatory responses. These events are crucial in the pathogenesis of cancer, autoimmune diseases, inflammatory disorders and viral infections. Hence, the elucidation of host’s innate inflammatory reactions is a necessary experimental step for the development of novel and alternative therapeutic strategies to cure these diseases.
For these reasons, we invite you to attend the “4th Conference on translational medicine on pathogenesis and therapy of immune-mediated diseases” to be held in Palermo, Italy from March 27th until March 29th, 2017.
As occurred in the three past editions of this meeting, you will experience an outstanding scientific program with the presence of word renowned speakers that will discuss the latest advances in the areas of innate immunity and cancer, viral infections, autoimmunity and autoinflammatory disorders.
We invite you to actively participate to our meeting by submitting abstracts that will contribute to improve the level of our scientific program and advance our knowledge in the field.
