JLB Dedicated Meeting Issue

Be a part of a Special JLB issue!

The Journal of Leukocyte Biology (JLB) will publish a special focus issue featuring articles related to topics of the 5th Conference of Translational Meeting on Pathogenesis and Therapy of Immune-mediated Diseases. Both review papers (“overviews”) and original investigations are encouraged. Selected contributions will be invited soon after the completion of the conference and all submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed according to the high standards of the JLB. All articles will be published online within weeks of acceptance, with the full “cluster” of articles published together in a special issue of JLB.

JLB publishes original experimental and clinical research that provides new insights into the function of leukocytes and/or stromal cells at the molecular, structural, cellular and systemic level. The Journal scope includes all leukocytes (granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, T, B and innate lymphoid or NK/NKT cells) and/or leukocyte products, together with associated stromal (endothelial, epithelial) cells studied in vitro and in the context of innate and adaptive immunity, development, homeostasis, host-pathogen interactions, immunotherapy, and immunopathogenesis (in both vertebrate models and/or human studies). Pathologies of interest include immunodeficiency, autoimmunity, allergy, cancer, trauma, infections, inflammatory and iatrogenic diseases. JLB also publishes basic, translational, and clinical reviews, as well as commentaries on current journal content.

Participants may submit their work for the dedicated issue according to the following schedule:

  • Auto-inflammatory diseases: from the bed to the bench side experimental approaches to identify new diseases, to better understanding their pathogenesis and to develop better therapeutic approaches.
  • Auto-immune diseases: from the bed to the bench side experimental approaches to identify new diseases, to better understanding their pathogenesis and to develop better therapeutic approaches.
  • Overlapping clinical features and pathogenic mechanisms between auto-inflammation and autoimmunity
  • In vivo models of auto-inflammation and autoimmunity

Applicants must be members of the Society for Leukocyte Biology by the application deadline. All applications must be submitted by Friday, October 30 2018 at 5PM (eastern).
